Real Madrid reject €60m offer from Chelsea for Alvaro Morata

Real Madrid are listening to offers for Alvaro Morata.

Having taken up the buy-back option that they had on their academy product and bought him for 31m euros from Juventus, Madrid are now looking to sell him to the Premier League.

With Karim Benzema very much still top dog in Zidane and Perez’s eyes, Morata will have to look elsewhere for first team football next season, and both Chelsea and Arsenal are reported to be interested.

Indeed, according to Marca, Madrid have rejected an initial offer of 60m euros from Chelsea for the striker, who scored 3 goals for Spain at Euro 2016.

Madrid have made it clear to the Blues that they won’t be accepting anything less than 75m euros for the former Juventus striker.

With Diego Costa rumoured to be set for a return to Atletico Madrid, Chelsea are very much interested in a new striker, and Morata would fit the bill.

But they’re going to have to fork out a serious sum if they want to land him.
