Real Madrid are ready to accept Liverpool’s new offer for Asier Illarramendi, according to reports.

Liverpool apparently made a £10.5million bid for technical pass-master Illarramendi earlier in the summer, amid uncertainty over his future.

Real stalled on accepting it, but reports say Liverpool are set to increase it to £14.2m – an mount Madrid are happy to deal at.

New manager Rafa Benitez has not warmed to the player and a move away seems to suit all parties.

Illarramendi is tipped for a bright future if he can gain regular playing time.
