Real Madrid put Emerson, Cassano up for sale

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has effectively put Antonio Cassano and Emerson up for sale.

In a local radio interview last night, Calderon said: "Emerson is not part of our project and it seems that he will leave. As for Cassano, he cannot continue in that situation."

Asked about new contract talks with Real striker Roberto Soldado, Calderon replied: "It will be necessary to speak about his contract renewal and later it will be the new coach who decides."

"Mijatovic has told me that a team must have four forwards and we have [Ruud] Van Nistelrooy, Raul and [Gonzalo] Higuain."
