Real Madrid push to close deal for Cruzeiro ace Lucas Silva

Real Madrid are seeking to close a deal for Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva.

Marca says Real were on the point of signing the player in August, when Sami Khedira's exit seemed to be a certainty.

In the end, the deal was not sealed, but since then Silva has forever been under Real's watchful eye, seen as the perfect candidate to reinforce the European champions' line-up.

It is in coach Carlo Ancelotti's hands whether he will come to the Bernabéu now or in June.
