Real Madrid push Rui Costa for early deal over Benfica star Di Maria

Real Madrid have made contact with Benfica about a quickfire deal for Angel di Maria.

Real chiefs want to close an agreement for the Argentina international before the World Cup kicks off next week.

Benfica chief Rui Costa has so far baulked at Real's request, as the board sees the World Cup as the ideal stage for Di Maria to drive up his asking price.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are also chasing the left-sided winger.
