Real Madrid push for deal for Newcastle's Luque

Real Madrid will attempt to push through a bid for Newcastle winger Albert Luque next month.

Despite Toon chairman Freddy Shepherd insisting Luque was not for sale, Real will make a bid for the Spanish international when the transfer window opens in January.

The Daily Mail says new Real sports chief Benito Floro is ready to offer £8 million cash, plus midfielder Thomas Gravesen, in exchange for Luque.
