Real Madrid president tells Beckham: Say yes and we will sign you

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed he will sign David Beckham, if the Manchester United midfielder wants to push through the deal.

Perez explained: "If Beckham wants to come we will take him."

"But this is not a Ronaldo situation. With Ronaldo it was a long-term plan, we were determined to go all out, there were no limits to get him."

"But for Beckham it's more a case of him telling United officially that he wants to leave. If he wants to come and the terms are right, we will complete the deal."

Talks over the deal are expected between the two clubs this week during the G-14 summit in Brussels.

United CEO Peter Kenyon and Perez will attend the Tuesday meeting and will take the opportunity to discuss Beckham's transfer.
