Real Madrid president: Sacchi perfect for us

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed new general manager Arrigo Sacchi has an "in definitive" contract.

"It is like all the directors, there is no timescale to his contract," said Perez. "It is also a permanent position."

"Sacchi is perfect for us. He is a football man who does not want to coach. We want his experience and for him to direct our football department."

"He is a football director. He will be in charge of everything; from the first team to the juniors."

"He will officially begin in January."

"It was easy to sign Sacchi. Everyone wants to be involved with Real Madrid."
