Real Madrid president revives Beckham interest

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez attempted to contact Manchester United midfielder David Beckham yesterday while he was on holiday in America to express their interest.

Perez has been forced into action with Barcelona clear favourites to sign the England skipper following talks between at least two presidential candidates and United.

United are pushing through Beckham's move to fund Sir Alex Ferguson's £30 million transfer campaign.
