Real Madrid president reveals transfer plans

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has revealed he'll aim to sign Porto defender Ricardo Carvalho if he wins the election this weekend.

Perez also confirmed their interest in Real Sociedad midfielder Xabi Alonso and Mallorca star Sammy Eto'o.

"Carvalho is one of the best players in his position. We began to speak with him, then it stopped for all of June and we will resume on Monday if I am re-elected," declared Perez.

"He is one of the players who would fit very well into the culture of Real Madrid. In addition we are going to move in the national market and will resume the negotiations with Real Sociedad for Xabi Alonso."

On Eto'o, whose registration is shared between Real Madrid and Mallorca, Perez said: "Etoo is a young player, I am convinced that in this evolution he will be a player of Real Madrid. He has been, he is and will be a player of Real Madrid."
