Real Madrid president Perez want Eriksson as 'super director'

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is eyeing England boss Sven Goran Eriksson for a 'super director's' role at the club.

Perez wants to bring in a man of great experience and profile to oversee all sporting aspects of the club, including transfers and coaching appointments.

Current sports director Emilio Butragueno would be moved sideways, while coach Mariano Garcia Remon would also remain in his job.

Ariggo Sacchi has already been linked with the soon-to-be created directorship, while Eriksson is also on Perez's shortlist.

The stumbling block is Eriksson's contract with the English FA, but Perez is expected to sound out intermediaries to see if the Swede would be interested in the role before the end of the season.
