Real Madrid president Perez staying calm - for now

Real Madrid coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo cannot afford to lose his next two games against Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao.

Despite the disappointing defeats against Celta Vigo and Lyon, Real president Florentino Perez is backing his Brazilian coach - for now.

Perez, vice-president Emilio Burtagueno and general manager Arrigo Sacchi have all assured Luxemburgo of their full support in the wake of the 3-0 French reverse.

Luxemburgo insists it is only a question of time before his team gels with the system he wants them to play. But Perez is adamant they cannot afford to lose points early into the new season - as they did last term - and has made it clear no points from the next two Liga games won't be tolerated.
