Real Madrid president Perez reveals exit plans

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to step down before his term officially ends in 2008.

Perez confirmed his intentions in an advance from his biography, which was published in Razon over the weekend.

Real vice-president Emilio Butraguano is Perez's choice to succeed him, though DiarioSport says several directors are unhappy with this.

Perez made his decision in September after talks with fellow club directors and its been suggested he has chosen to make it public now with new coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo having turned the team's on-field results around.
