Real Madrid president Perez hits out at Bolton's Hierro

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has taken a swipe at former club captain Fernando Hierro.

Now starring with Bolton Wanderers, Hierro hit out at Perez last week over the dismissal of coach Vicente del Bosque two summers ago.

"Hierro is part of the history of Madrid, but he speaks from resentment," rapped Perez to L'Equipe. "He had problems accepting that his time was over... it is normal.

"Di Stéfano was upset with Santiago Bernabéu at the end of his career. I am not going to respond to him since I value our friendship and everything that he did for Madrid. I think sincerely that we were right when separating us from Del Bosque."
