Real Madrid president Perez gives Ronaldo pep talk

Real Madrid management have been busy over the last 48 hours attempting to lift the confidence of star striker Ronaldo.
The Brazilian was targeted by the Bernabeu boo-boys in the midweek victory over Real Betis as he continued to struggle in front of goal.

Real president Florentino Perez made a personal phone call to Ronaldo on Thursday to give the galactico a pep talk and also plans to take advantage of the team's trip to Valencia today to sit with the Brazilian and assure him of the club's total confidence in his ability.

Real's players have also made a concerted effort to pick up Ronaldo's morale after the Betis boos, with senior players agreeing to work on the striker's confidence during training on Thursday and Friday.

There is some fear at board level that Ronaldo is growing increasingly unsettled after his fine last week for arriving late for training and also the barracking he received from fans.

The Brazilian has been quoted in recent weeks that "if a player is unhappy at a club he should change", as Barcelona and Inter Milan are only too well aware.
