Real Madrid president: No problems with Barcelona's Eto'o

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists there is no hard feelings towards Barcelona ace Samuel Eto'o ahead of tonight's showdown at the Nou Camp.

Eto'o, a former Real Madrid junior, slated Perez after he signed for Barca, but the president told AS last night: "This week I have been pleased with the gratefulness and respect Eto'o has shown towards Real Madrid."

"It shows how good a person he is. It is normal that players who were with the juniors want to prove themselves against us."

"It is a sign that our system is strong. There are 53 players currently with Primera clubs that have played for Real Madrid. We all hope Eto'o has a successful career and is happy in it."

"He could have been with Madrid, but for well-known reasons. He is a non-EU player and we could not fit him into our squad this season."
