Real Madrid president: Makelele poorly advised over Chelsea move

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has blamed Claude Makelele's agents for his controversial move to Chelsea.

"Look, Makelele is an exceptional person, but he has a representative who confused him," said Perez. "He was a bad advisor."

"In addition, Chelsea offered an amount of money to him which Madrid could not compete with because it would have unbalanced our wage structure."
