Real Madrid president fancies Chelsea boss Ranieri

Real Madrid are chasing Claudio Ranieri as a replacement for coach Carlos Queiroz.

Real president Florentino Perez is set to axe Queiroz at the end of the season after Tuesday night's shock Champions League elimination.

Perez is facing re-election and doesn't want to risk a close ballot by sticking with under-fire Queiroz.

The Daily Express says the Real supremo will instead turn to Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, who is still expected to be on his way from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Ranieri has also been linked with AS Roma and Tottenham in recent weeks.
