Real Madrid president cools Premiership link for Beckham

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon insists there'll be no Premiership return in January for David Beckham.
 
The Beckham camp have been stalling on talks in the knowledge the star can talk to rival clubs in January and set up a free transfer in the summer.

Beckham, 31, admitted he is unhappy at not being a first-team regular under coach Fabio Capello.

Yet Calderon last night said: "I'm only one party in this group but I'm convinced he'll sign."

"I think Beckham is happy in Spain and we are very happy with him."

"It's a happy marriage, so I don't think there is a problem."
