Real Madrid president: Capello, Mijatovic set to stay

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon admits coach Fabio Capello could carry on in charge next season.

"I have always said that when the Liga finishes I would listen to everyone. If everyone wants that he continues, then so it will be," said Calderon. "I am never going to go against the decision of the people in charge of each department."

"The continuity of the trainer does not depend on winning the championship. If we think he should continue then he will, whether the title is won or lost. After all, he has a contract with us."

"Obviously, the president has the final decision. But this is made after consulting with everyone who has a say on a particular issue. I do not have all the facts in order to make such an important decision, so I must lean on those that do."

On the future of sports director Pedja Mijatovic, Calderon added: "I have read a pile of things about Mijatovic leaving. It is not true."

"He is a serious, discreet, measured, expert of football. He is a great professional and he has never been questioned."
