Real Madrid president Calderon unemotional after Euro exit

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon accepted that his team were beaten by a far superior Roma last night.

A matter-of-fact Calderon commented: "It certainly is a failure, that cannot be denied, but it is the fourth year this has happened, it is not something new."

"It is true that we had no major players, but a big team cannot complain about injuries, or referees, or bad luck ... Here we've played better and lost, and we've played worse here and also lost."
