Real Madrid president Calderon shuts door on Man Utd's Ronaldo

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon admits Rafael van der Vaart is likely to be their final signing of the summer market.

Effectively shutting the door on landing Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, Calderon said: "Here Van der Vaart is the first signing of this year and possibly the only one ..."

He continued: "Van der Vaart is of extraordinary quality, who scores and creates goals, with great vision and plays with a lot of talent."

Real legend and honorary president Alfredo di Stefano was at yesterday's signing ceremony and added: "President, this is a very good signing."
