Real Madrid president Calderon seeks to end ref moaning

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has moved to end moaning from his club chiefs over this season's refereeing.

After victory over Athletic Bilbao, both Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic and coach Bernd Schuster hit out at the standard of officiating their team had received this term.

But Calderon, in a clear message to both men, told Marca: "We have to help referees."

"I always say that a big club like Real Madrid cannot make excuses with the referees, injuries or bad luck."
