Real Madrid president Calderon: Schuster will be warmer next season

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon admits coach Bernd Schuster placed enormous pressure on himself to win the championship this season.

He explained: "I spoke with Schuster and he has explained everything to me. He arrived at a team where a Liga title had been won and the trainer sacked. He agreed to take the Madrid job because it was the opportunity of his life, but faced a great risk."

"Schuster considered that if he did not at least win one title, then I should sack him. This tension did not allow him to be comfortable, the tremendous pressure was tying him down."

"Schuster will be different next season. I am convinced that feeling as a champion, with the security of which he knows how to do this, will give him a steady calm that he did not have."
