Real Madrid president Calderon rubbishes clearout talk

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon insists there won't be any new signings in January and rubbished reports this week of a mini-clearout for the winter market.

He said: "We are satisfied with the squad that we created in June and we think that it is the one that is going to see us fulfill our objectives."

"It is rubbish to say that we are going to sell six players at midseason. It is impossible, but not because it is not possible to be done, but because there's no common sense in that."
