Real Madrid president Calderon assures Schuster

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon pulled aside coach Bernd Schuster on Monday to make it clear his full support to the German.

Marca says Calderon spoke one-on-one with Schuster after Real's regular Monday match committee meeting and assured his coach that he was counting on him also for next season.

Both men spoke openly - and both admitted mistakes had been made this season.

In a sure sign that Schuster will remain is that Calderon has been pumping him for information on signings for the summer market. The pair enjoy a good relationship - which is in contrast to the final months of last season involving Schuster's predecessor Fabio Capello.
