Real Madrid president blasts Man Utd's Queiroz

Real Madrid have turned on former coach Carlos Queiroz.

Queiroz is back at Manchester United as assistant manager after a nightmare year in Spain.

He gave an interview this week claiming he would have won the championship if he had received the same support as his replacement Jose Antonio Camacho has enjoyed this summer.

But Real president Florentino Perez said: "Giving Queiroz a contract was a mistake."

"He was given the job because of his work in the past with great young players in Portugal."

"But the reasons for which we brought him in were not delivered."

Real defender Raul Bravo also stuck the boot in and said: "We had a good team last season and only finished fourth."
