Real Madrid president: Beckham will get new deal

Real Madrid are set to extend David Beckham's stay with the Liga giants.
 
The former Manchester United midfielder's deal at El Santiago Bernabeu is set to expire at the end of the season.

Real chief Ramon Calderon has confirmed Real are keen to retain 31 year old Beckham's services and that he is happy in Spain with his family.

"We have spoken with his agent and we are agreed that we should extend his contract," explained Calderon to AS.

"Beckham has told me that he is happy in Madrid, that his children are happy, that Brooklyn speaks Spanish."

"He is delighted with things and for Madrid he is a vital player for his contribution on the pitch and for what he represents."
