Real Madrid president assures Luxemburgo his job is safe

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has decided that coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo will remain in charge for the start of next season - no matter what happens against Juventus this week.

After so much uncertainty in the last two years over the coaching position at Real, Luxemburgo has been assured by Perez that his job is safe, even if the Champions League and Liga campaigns end in failure this term.

Perez has already informed his No2, Emilio Butragueno, and GM Arrigo Sacchi, of his decision. Both men are in agreement with their president, with Luxemburgo having impressed in his 70 days so far in charge.
