Real Madrid president admits Totti interest

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed he's interested in AS Roma skipper Francesco Totti - but denies having asked about the midfielder's availability.

"When we dealt with Roma for Samuel we asked if they were arranged to transfer other players," revealed Perez. "They responded to us that Emerson was leaving, but already he was reserved by Juventus."

"They have never said to us that Totti was for sale and we have not done anything concrete about him."

"The only thing that I can say is that Totti is the first player who we would sign from Roma, because he is the best one of all. For me, he is first and then soon after is Cassano."
