Real Madrid posted scout to check on Lyon's Benzema

Real Madrid are maintaining their interest in Olympique Lyon star Karim Benzema.

The 20 year-old France international has confessed an ambition to play for Real and he is highly admired by the Spanish giants' president, Ramon Calderon.

French sources say Real had a high-level scout in the stands to see Benzema play against Rennes on the weekend.
