Real Madrid ponder sensational move for Barcelona's Eto'o

There is a push inside Real Madrid to move for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.

El Mundo Deportivo says Real chiefs have been discussing the prospect of bringing the Cameroon international back to Madrid while the players are put through their paces in Austria.

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster and senior players Iker Casillas and Guti are both behind the sensational plan, but president Ramon Calderon will take some convincing as he doesn't want to put Barcelona rival Joan Laporta offside.

A source said: "He represents exactly everything we need. First of all, he's from Madrid and always has felt Madrid. In addition, signing a footballer like him, taking him with Barcelona, can work twice in our favour."
