Real Madrid plan to beat Barcelona to Tottenham player as transfer revenge

Real Madrid plan to beat Barcelona to the signing of Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro, as revenge for missing out on Rodri.

It seems that the Spanish giants want to bite back at their famous rivals after the summer drama around the World Cup winner.
Rodri joined Barcelona in a €60m deal from Manchester City this summer after seven very successful years at the Etihad.
The move to the Camp Nou came as something of a surprise given the 30-year-old had spent the summer being linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Their interest was longstanding. The Spanish giants had often been credited with a n interest in the former Ballon D’or winner. Instead, Barcelona stole a march, paid the fee and got him instead.
Now Real Madrid want their revenge. Cadena SER report that they’re moving to sign Pedro Porro from Tottenham, before Barcelona can get him in as their new right-back.
The outlet reports that Porro wants to move back to Spain in the near future. Barcelona are his top choice, but Real Madrid are trying to get in front. They even see a possibility of signing him in the upcoming transfer windows, which presumably includes January.
They have pursued the player in the past. Now, before committing to Barcelona, the Spanish international wants to know if Real Madrid’s interest is active or has been put on hold.
He was previously on the radar before they signed Denzel Dumfries this summer. There’s also Trent Alexander-Arnold to consider. He wants to know if their interest remains genuine because of that situation.
The Tottenham man is keen to leave, though. He is concerned that Spurs’ poor form could hurt his standing in the Spanish national tea.
He played a pivotal role for Spain at the World Cup. But he missed this international break through injury. that saw him replaced by Marc Pubill. Now he fears that he could lose his place for the European Championships.
For now, his top choice is Barça. But, as Pacojó Delgado stated on SER, he isn’t ruling out a “Reverse Rodri”.
“If Madrid makes a strong move, knowing that Trent Alexander-Arnold isn’t convincing at full-back, there might well be an opportunity,” he said.
