Real Madrid plan offer for Palermo's Cavani

Real Madrid are lining up a bid for Palermo youngster Edison Cavani.

The highly-rated striker, who joined the Sicilian outfit in January from Danubio Montevideo, is highly considered by the Merengues, after his performances in Serie A.

However Cavani, also a reported target for Juventus and Milan during the January transfer window, is not a European citizen.

This might represent an obstacle to his move to Spain, as he would have to occupy a non-EU spot on the squad.
