Real Madrid pair Ronaldo, Zidane: 'Game against Poverty' is on

Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane have urged Madrid's public to fill the Santiago Bernabeu tonight for their 'Game against Poverty'.

The Charity match will go ahead, despite Sunday's bomb scare that forced Real Madrid's match against Real Sociedad to be abandoned.

"We want to see a full Bernabeu to give an example to the world," Ronaldo and Zidane said in a joint statement. "We want the game to show the maturity, the civility and serenity that the city of Madrid holds in general and also the public of the Bernabéu."

"For all there were moments of tension and uncertainty (after Sunday), but after reflection we only can reiterate our invitation to you that you participate with us in 'the Game Against Poverty' and we want to do so by opening the doors of the stadium to the city of Madrid."
