Real Madrid outcast Cassano wants Serie A return

Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano wants a return to Italy in January.

The former Roma firebrand is regarded as fifth choice striker under new coach Fabio Capello and has instructed his agent, Beppe Bozzo, to begin circulating his name around Serie A.

Only reserves Diego Lopez, Ivan Helguera and Francisco Pavon have played less than Cassano this season under Capello and the Italian is concerned his career has reached a dead-end in Madrid.
