Real Madrid offer Salgado to Juventus

Juventus have been offered Real Madrid fullback Michel Salgado.

After securing first option on Sao Paulo right-back Cicinho on Monday, it emerged yesterday that Real Madrid had approached Juve about taking over Salgado's contract. Juve rejected the initial proposal, with their transfer budget tied up with other targets.

However, director general Luciano Moggi remains interested in the offer with coach Fabio Capello seeking to strengthen the right-side of his midfield, despite the return of Giorgio Chiellini from Fiorentina this summer.
