Real Madrid offer Gravesen to Man City

Manchester City are leading the race for Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen.

The Sunday Mirror says Blues were offered the chance to sign the Dane by Madrid before losing Claudio Reyna for at least six weeks with a broken ankle.

Now Stuart Pearce will step up his bid for the former Everton favourite - if he can do a deal with Real over Gravesen's £60,000-a-week wages.
