Real Madrid offer Drenthe for Chelsea's Malouda

Real Madrid are ready to discuss a swap deal with Chelsea for young Dutchman Royston Drenthe.

The Spanish giants signed Drenthe from Feyenoord for £10million last summer but the Dutch wing-back has failed to shine at the Bernabeu.

Real want to ship out Drenthe to the Bridge and bring in France midfielder Florent Malouda, 27, who cost £16million from Lyon.

A Real source told The Sun: "The club will seek talks with Chelsea on the issue of Drenthe. And Malouda interested us last summer."

Real may try to broker a loan deal in the short term.
