Real Madrid offer De Gea £12m to leave Manchester United for free

Real Madrid are offering David de Gea a £12 million 'signing on bonus' in order to see out the remainder of his contract at Manchester United before heading to the Bernabeu.

The Spanish international has less than a year remaining on his deal at Old Trafford amidst interest from Madrid, and with talks over a fee nowhere near a resolution he could walk away for nothing next summer.

Manchester United are believed to be holding out for a fee in excess of £35 million in order to let him leave before the current window closes however according to the Mirror, Real Madrid have come up with a work-around that could save them millions.

The paper claim that De Gea will be awarded with the huge signing on bonus that will guarantee his arrival at the Bernabeu when he is out of contract at Manchester United.

The move is likely to anger the powers that be at Manchester United, who have played hardball with their Spanish rivals all summer long.
