Real Madrid offer cash, Portillo for Depor's Luque

Real Madrid are ready to offer Deportivo La Coruna £7 million plus striker Javier Portillo for Albert Luque.
 
Real GM Arrigo Sacchi confirmed yesterday that Luque "is a high priority signing" when speaking with Radio Marca.

It's emerged that Real intend to make the cash plus Portillo bid for Spanish international Luque, who is rated at £10 million by Depor president Augusto Cesar Lendoiro.

The Real offer interests Depor coach Joaquin Caparros, who is desperate to find a new striker after ruling out a return for Walter Pandiani.

"At the moment nothing is official," said Caparros. "It's only official when a fax arrives, or you get a call from a president or sports director."
