Real Madrid No2 Karanka: We're happy Granero stayed

Real Madrid No2 Aitor Karanka says they're happy to have kept hold of Esteban Granero.

The midfielder could have left in January.

Karanka said: "There's nothing new to say about Granero at this stage. He grew up here and is a spectacular player. He was affected by his preseason injury at the start of the campaign. We have a small squad because that's how we wanted it and Granero always does a good job whenever he plays."
