Real Madrid No1 Casillas hails Woodgate debut

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas says he was impressed by the debut of Jonathan Woodgate in Thursday night's 3-1 win over Athletic Bilbao.

Woody scored an own goal and was sent-off in the clash, but Casillas says: "He did superbly. I liked his display very much."

"I am not in agreement with the people who said that his debut was a disaster. After a year without playing, he returned without any problems. In the air he was excellent and the sending off and the own goal were basically out of his hands."
