Real Madrid No1 Casillas admits Buffon concern

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is demanding to know of the club's interest in Juventus No1 Gigi Buffon before he commits himself to a new contract.

Casillas' current deal has just over a year to run and Real president Florentino Perez has made an approach to Juve for Buffon in recent weeks.

"It is the club that must call me if it wants me to continue here," said Casillas. "I do not believe that there is any problems so that this happens."

"But it is certainly correct that if they're planning to sign Buffon, then I would like to know about it before renewing."

"It is normal that Madrid pays attention to other players. I cannot close doors on perhaps leaving because the laws of football do not allow it."
