Real Madrid Need Time To Become A Team Like Barcelona

Real Madrid midfielder Guti says that his side just needs time before becoming a great team like Barcelona and says that the criticism directed towards coach Manuel Pellegrini, after they suffered their first defeat of the season, has taken him by surprise.

"I'm surprised at the doubt about Pellegrini for what happened last weekend. No one can be champion in week six," he is quoted as saying by Marca.

"With the people we have here it will be difficult if we don't start playing well. If we have enough time we will become a great team, I think that is the only difference with Barcelona. They have a great team and we do not, yet."

The long-serving Madrid midfielder admitted that he did not expect to feature as much as he has done for Los Merengues this season and also reluctantly admitted his admiration for Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.

"I thought I would have less minuted on the pitch," he said and added," Although it pains me to say it, I like Guardiola."
