Real Madrid must de-register senior player to add final winger signing

Real Madrid must release one of it's players for the remainder of the season.

After Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Lassana Diarra arrived from Ajax and Portsmouth respectively, Real are still to make one more signing - a right-sided winger - for the January market.

This will exceed their 24-player quota, which means Real must de-register one of their squad for the rest of the campaign.

The two prime candidates are midfielder Ruben de la Red and goalkeeper Jordi Codina.
