Real Madrid move to block Barcelona switch for Diogo

Real Madrid have moved quickly to block any chance of a move to Barcelona for their wing-back Carlos Diogo.

Currently on-loan at Real Zaragoza, Diogo is interesting Barca, which would move for the Uruguay international should he sign permanently in June.

Madrid are now hastily redrawing their agreement with Zaragoza to include a new clause that would prevent them from selling the midfielder for the coming three seasons.

Zaragoza can make Diogo's loan deal permanent for £4 million and have been told by intermediaries that Barca are prepared to pay £6 million to take him to the Nou Camp over the summer.
