Real Madrid move for Chelsea defender Carvalho

Real Madrid have held talks with Chelsea over defender Ricardo Carvalho.

The Portugal international was offered to both Real and Barcelona last month by Chelsea intermediaries and the fallen Madrid giants have followed up the initial approach with a concrete inquiry.

Real were trumped two years ago by Chelsea for Carvalho and are now keen to bring the centre-half to Spain this summer.
