Real Madrid move for Bayern Munich's Ballack

Real Madrid are interested in Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Ballack.
 
The Germany international is entering the final year of his contract and Bayern are yet to contact his representatives about a new deal.

Ballack has had his run-ins with Bayern management this season and recently said: "I have had to endure a lot and swallow my pride regarding controversies. But in exchange, I do not believe the club has been so supportive of me."

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is also a big fan of Ballack and the Premiership giants reportedly approached Bayern last month regarding the midfielder's availability.

However, its understood Ballack favours a move to Spain, particularly after naming his three sons Luis, Emilio and Jordi.
