Real Madrid move for Arsenal target Mascherano

Real Madrid are tracking River Plate midfielder Javier Mascherano.

The 20 year-old Argentina international was a target for Arsenal, which were considering the youngster as a replacement for Patrick Vieira.

Real would have to find £8 million to sign Mascherano, who holds an EU passport and has also attracted interest from Juventus.
